Azerbaijan interior minister meets with Turkish police chief in Baku

A delegation led by the Director General of the Turkish National Police, Ali Fidan, has arrived in Baku to participate in the 9th bilateral working group meeting on police cooperation between the interior ministries of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Prior to official talks, the delegation visited the Alley of Honor to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and academician Zarifa Aliyeva. Azerbaijani Interior Minister Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov subsequently received Ali Fidan and his accompanying delegation, praising the high level of strategic partnership between the two law enforcement bodies and underscoring the value of joint practical drills and knowledge-sharing.

Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, Ali Fidan highlighted the importance of coordinated action against modern security threats and cross-border organized crime. Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun also attended the meeting.
