Joint manufacturing of refined petroleum products, including motor gasoline and aviation jet fuel, has emerged as a promising new avenue in energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Uzbek Energy Minister Sherzod Khodjayev announced on the "Uzbekistan 24" television channel.

Khodjayev highlighted that bilateral energy cooperation is advancing along several strategic tracks, prominently featuring joint upstream hydrocarbon development on the Ustyurt Plateau, as well as the trilateral initiative with Kazakhstan to export Central Asian renewable electricity to Europe via Azerbaijan.

"Another key direction on today's agenda is the joint production of refined petroleum products, particularly motor and aviation fuel, to meet domestic demand in Uzbekistan," Khodjayev stated, pointing out the major export and transit potential of sending green power across the Caspian corridor.
