Azerbaijan, Ukraine Target $1 Billion Trade via Agri-Logistics Push
Azerbaijan and Ukraine aim to deepen agricultural cooperation, scale bilateral trade, and channel Azerbaijani investment into the Ukrainian farming sector, officials said following talks between Ukrainian Agrarian Policy Minister Taras Vysotskyi and Azerbaijani Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev.
The discussions centered on restoring mutual trade turnover to its pre-war benchmark of approximately $1 billion annually. Baku proposed leveraging its transit and logistics hubs to facilitate shipments of Ukrainian agri-food products not only to the Azerbaijani domestic market, but also onward to Central Asia and the Middle East.
The parties also reviewed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission scheduled for late November, which is slated to feature B2B forums and regional field visits across Ukraine to evaluate direct investment ventures.
