Party leader Samvel Karapetyan files defamation lawsuit against PM Pashinyan

Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, has lodged a civil lawsuit against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Karapetyan is demanding a public apology from the prime minister over allegedly defamatory remarks made on May 29 during the electoral campaign. The suit also seeks 3 million drams (approximately $8,300) in compensation alongside reimbursement of associated legal costs.

The filing was formally submitted to court on September 9.
