Gasoline prices in France hit historic all-time high of €2.11 per liter

The average price of gasoline in France has reached €2.11 per liter, marking its highest level since 1985, when the French government first began recording official fuel price data, Le Figaro reported.

The price of "95-E10" grade gasoline, which contains up to 10% ethanol, rose by an additional 2.3 euro cents over the past week, extending its upward climb for a sixth consecutive week.

Concurrently, diesel—the country's most widely consumed motor fuel—surged by 3.4 euro cents week-on-week to reach approximately €2.29 per liter. The current figure now stands just shy of the historic peak of €2.31 per liter recorded in April of last year.
