More than 14,000 foreign tourists arrive in Baku for Formula 1

Last year, 14,000 foreign tourists arrived in Baku during the race days of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The Baku City Circuit Operations Company said that the number of foreign tourists arriving in Baku during this year’s Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is slightly higher than the above-mentioned figure.

This gives grounds to say that the number of tourists arriving in Azerbaijan in connection with Formula 1 has reached a record high.

It was also reported that the tourists came from more than 100 countries.

According to official statistics, more than 80% of tickets last year were purchased by foreign tourists.

It is noted that, on average, each tourist visiting Azerbaijan for the race spends more than $2,200.
