Foreign hackers target state information infrastructure

Cyberattacks targeting Azerbaijan's state information infrastructure were detected starting at approximately 22:00 on October 13. According to the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security, an external hacker group targeted over 100 domain names associated with government institutions.

The cyberattack caused temporary disruptions across several state web portals; however, technical countermeasures promptly neutralized the impact and restored continuous operations. The State Service confirmed that active cybersecurity safeguards and monitoring operations are ongoing.
