Flu Vaccination Campaign Underway in Baku and Sumgayit with Dutch Vaccine
State medical institutions in Baku and Sumgayit have been supplied with seasonal flu vaccines, with the immunization drive officially underway, according to the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB). The delivery of vaccines procured by the Ministry of Health to regional healthcare facilities across the country continues in scheduled stages.
This season, medical centers are administering the quadrivalent "Influvac Tetra" vaccine manufactured in the Netherlands, designed to reduce infection rates, severe illness, and hospitalization risks. Immunization remains voluntary and is primarily advised for vulnerable groups, including children over six months, seniors over 65, chronic illness patients, pregnant women, and healthcare staff. Citizens can access the free service at state outpatient polyclinics within their designated residential areas.
