Azerbaijan Launches Free Seasonal Flu Vaccination Campaign

Azerbaijan is rolling out its nationwide seasonal influenza vaccination drive starting October 21, 2026, aimed at curbing acute respiratory viral infections during the autumn-winter season. The Ministry of Health confirmed that necessary vaccine batches have been delivered across the country in line with a ministerial order on stepping up anti-epidemic measures.

Health authorities strongly advise high-risk groups—including medical personnel, pregnant women, and individuals over six months of age suffering from chronic respiratory conditions—to receive the shot. The ministry noted that vaccinations are provided free of charge at state-run outpatient clinics based on citizens' place of residence or employment.
