The world of sport throws up a lot of stories every day - funny, shocking, bizarre and amazing. But you don't read them all. You can't. You don't have time.

That's where we come in: each day, World of Sport brings you the pick of the stories that you might have missed from the last day or two. Here's today's choice.Think we missed something better? Let us know in the comments box down below1. Ronaldo has to settle for second in 'world's fittest athlete' listMost people would be delighted to be named the second fittest sports star in the world (as in athletic not pretty) but we suspect Cristiano Ronaldo will cursing number one in Sports Illustrated's new list.Ronaldo finished second to NBA superstar LeBron James on the list that rated stars in four categories (speed, strength, agility and endurance). Ronaldo scored perfect 10s in everything but strength where he *only* got an 8.5. LeBron was a perfect 10 in all four categories. To be fair…the Real Madrid superstar did well enough to get on the list at all. Sports Illustrated is a respected publication but the list is more than a little bit American-centric.Poor old Chris Froome – who would have been close to the top of our list – only scored 23/40 which saw him languishing in 45th position. We'd like to see LeBron James fly up the Tourmalet on a bike!2. Speaking of Ronaldo…what's going on here?Cristanio was recently in Japan promoting a new product called the "Pao Facial Fitness" which apparently is meant to do you some good if you stuff it in your gob and let it flap its wings. It doesn't seem like he has much faith in the product though as this new ad shows – as all he does is hold it in his hand while letting some poor actors demonstrate the ridiculous looking device.3. Vilest footballer in Britain' makes MLS All-Star team after just three gamesWest Brom released centre-half Liam Ridgewell in the summer despite having an option to extend his deal by a further season. The 30-year old decided to up sticks and move to the MLS and the Portland Timbers. It seems like he is doing something right over there though as he has been selected for the MLS All-Star team that will play Bayern Munich on Wednesday despite playing only three games.“Liam will be a quality addition," explained the team's head-coach Caleb Porter.Let's hope all this new-found praise doesn't go to Ridgewell's head. We don’t want him wiping his bottom with £20 notes again, an act that saw him labelled by the Sun as the "vilest footballer in Britain" two years ago.4. Your chance to own Michael Schumacher's old F1 Ferrari.Have a spare £2m knocking around? Well then how about splashing out on a Ferrari F1 car? The Ferrari 248 F1 chassis No. 253 that Michael Schumacher drove for the first three races of the 2006 season has been put up for sale for $3.3m (just under £2m).For the same price you can also purchase the car that Kimi Raikkonen used to win the 2007 World Championship in what must be the sale of the century for F1 fans.Highly unsuitable if you’re just looking to for something to pop down to the supermarket in mind you!5. NBA champions appoint female assistant coachThe reigning NBA champions San Antonio Spurs named long-time women's basketball star Becky Hammon as the first full-time female assistant coach in league history.Hammon, 37, is a six-time WNBA All-Star who has spent the last eight seasons with the San Antonio Stars, from which she will soon retire."I'm confident that her basketball IQ, work ethic, and interpersonal skills will be a great benefit for the Spurs," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said in a statement.(uk.eurosport.yahoo.com)Bakudaily.az
