Erdogan: ‘We will make May 28 herald of the Turkish century’

"We will make May 28 herald of the Turkish century”, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Twitter.

He said that the People’s Alliance successfully gave the first test of the presidential elections” "We fought without paying attention to provocations and pressures, without backing down in the face of difficulties. I thank all of you for your hard work, efforts, and dedication.”

Erdogan noted that the success achieved on May 14 should be crowned with a bigger victory.

Reminding that the second round of elections will be held on May 28, the Turkish leader emphasized that the People’s Alliance is an organization that has put national will, serving, and loving the country and the nation at the center of its policy:

"We can only repay our debt of gratitude to our nation, which has owned us and challenged tanks when needed, only by working harder and talking more. Türkiye expects service and action from us. Our brothers who suffered from the earthquake expect us to heal their wounds as soon as possible. Hopefully, we will value the coming days in the most beautiful and efficient way.”
