Georgia reaffirms commitment to EU integration as top priority

Integration with the European Union will remain Georgia's paramount foreign policy priority in the coming years, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said during a government meeting on Thursday, reported from Georgian media.

"We have important foreign policy priorities, and the main one, of course, is European integration," Kobakhidze emphasized. "We expect a reboot of relations, which I think will proceed intensively from the beginning of next year."

Georgia held parliamentary elections on October 26. The ruling Georgian Dream party garnered 53.92% of the vote based on results from 99.97% of polling stations, according to the Central Election Commission.
