Netanyahu says Iran poses serious threat to Israel
22.05.2025 10:30

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference that Iran poses a serious threat to the Jewish state.

He stressed that Israel's actions to counter the Iranian threat are being coordinated with the United States.

Netanyahu expressed hope that Washington would reach an agreement that prevents Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and from enriching uranium. “If such a deal is reached, we will welcome it,” he added.

At the same time, Netanyahu said Israel reserves the right to self-defense.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump had expressed dissatisfaction with Netanyahu’s actions and excluded Israel from discussions on future agreements with Iran and Saudi Arabia.
