Bloomberg: Putin wants to end Ukraine war by year-end

Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the war against Ukraine by the end of 2026, but only on terms Moscow could present as a victory, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

According to the agency, one of Russia’s key demands remains full control over Donbas. Bloomberg’s sources also said Moscow was considering a broader security agreement with Europe.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin had set no deadline for ending the war.
