Magnitude 5.3 earthquake strikes Egypt
A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Egypt, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.
The quake occurred at around 3 a.m. local time, 104 km southeast of Port Said, a city of more than 700,000 people. It was recorded at a depth of 10 km.
The Egyptian Red Crescent said there were no reports of casualties or damage.
