Five dead as Amazon Boeing 767 cargo plane crashes near Miami airport
At least five people were killed and several others hospitalized after an Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767 cargo aircraft overshot the runway and crashed onto an adjacent roadway near Miami International Airport, Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz confirmed.
The aircraft was completing a cargo flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami when the incident occurred, the New York Post reported.
Emergency response units transported multiple injured victims to local medical centers. Aviation authorities have launched an investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash.
