Mass food poisoning strikes wedding in Azerbaijan's Ismayilli district, 24 treated and discharged

A total of 24 individuals sought medical treatment with symptoms of food poisoning following a private wedding reception in the village of Hajikhatamli in Azerbaijan's Ismayilli district, the Food Safety Agency (AQTA) announced.

The affected guests received immediate medical care at a local clinic and were subsequently discharged home in satisfactory condition.

Specialists from AQTA, in cooperation with relevant state authorities, have launched an official investigation into the incident. Food and beverage samples have been collected for laboratory testing, with the definitive cause of the contamination to be confirmed upon completion of the analyses.
