Central Asia boosts investor appeal amid regional alignment
Deepening cooperation and greater economic predictability are enhancing Central Asia’s appeal to international investors, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis Sodiq Safayev stated at the CAMCA 2026 Regional Forum in Baku.
Safayev highlighted that the region is no longer perceived merely as post-Soviet territory, but as an indispensable bridge linking major global markets and transitioning from landlocked geography into a vital transit hub.
He noted that while global diplomacy faces growing fragmentation, Central Asia is moving in the opposite direction by consolidating multilateral partnerships rather than pursuing formal integration, adding that this predictability fosters resilience across the wider CAREC region amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty.
