World Heritage Centre: Azerbaijan demonstrates a balanced approach to various international issues
In 2018, UNESCO and the World Bank jointly began implementing the “Culture in City Reconstruction and Recovery” project, Lazare Eloundou Assomo, Officer-in-Charge for Culture of the UNESCO Director-General and Director of the World Heritage Centre, said in a video address during the panel session titled “A Sustainable and Inspirational Model for Cultural Revitalization” held within the framework of WUF13.
It was stated that Azerbaijan demonstrates a balanced and fair approach to various issues at the international level.
According to him, the reconstruction and restoration of cities in the post-conflict period has been identified as a special priority. The policy implemented in this direction aims not only at rebuilding cities, but also at their revitalization and sustainable development.
