Temperatures in Azerbaijan to reach 37C

Temperatures in parts of Azerbaijan are expected to reach 37C on July 7, the National Hydrometeorological Service said. 

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is forecast to be partly cloudy and occasionally overcast, mostly without rain. Brief light rain is possible in some suburban areas in the morning. 

A moderate north-westerly wind is expected, strengthening at times in parts of the peninsula during the day. Temperatures in Baku and Absheron will range from 20C to 23C at night and from 27C to 30C during the day.

Across Azerbaijan’s regions, rain is expected in some places, with heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail possible in some areas. Rainfall may intensify in several northern and western districts. Fog is forecast in some mountainous areas at night and in the morning.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 20C to 25C at night and from 32C to 37C during the day. In the mountains, temperatures will be 11C to 16C at night and 18C to 23C during the day, reaching 25C to 29C in some places.
