Azerbaijan detains two over alleged AI-assisted blackmail

Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry has detained two people suspected of using artificial intelligence tools to manipulate photographs of women, distributing the images on social media and demanding money for their removal.

The ministry said the suspects were identified during an operation conducted by its cybercrime unit.

A criminal case has been opened and the investigation is continuing.
