Azerbaijan opens applications for vacant master’s degree places

Azerbaijan’s State Examination Center has announced the selection of specialisations for admission to vacant master’s degree places at the country’s higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to the center, the selection process will continue until August 30.

Bachelor’s degree holders who met the required competition criteria based on the results of master’s admission exams held on February 15, May 17 and June 14 are eligible to participate.

Applicants must enter and confirm the codes of their selected specialisations in the electronic application by 23:59 on August 30. Each applicant may select up to 20 specialisations.

The State Examination Center said applicants who were admitted to a master’s programme in the main competition but failed to register at the relevant higher education institution within the established deadline will be considered to have declined admission. They will not be allowed to participate in the competition for vacant places.

The list of specialisations with vacant planned places has been published in the sixth issue of the Magistr journal.
