Temperatures in Azerbaijan expected to reach 40 C on Aug. 25

Temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius in some areas on Aug. 25, the National Hydrometeorological Service said.

No precipitation is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. Temperatures will range from 23-26 C overnight and 31-36 C during the day.

Weather conditions across the regions are expected to be mostly dry. However, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in some mountainous areas during the day, while fog is expected in some mountain areas overnight and in the morning.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 21-26 C overnight and 34-39 C during the day, reaching up to 40 C in some areas. In mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 14-18 C overnight and 23-28 C during the day.

Moderate easterly winds are expected.
