Foreign investment in Azerbaijan rises nearly 29% in Jan–Nov

Foreign investment in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital rose sharply in January–November 2025, increasing by 28.7% year on year to 3.665 billion manats, according to data from the State Statistics Committee.

Investors from the UK, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Iran, Hungary, France and India accounted for 97.9% of total foreign investment, or 3.593 billion manats.

Total investment in fixed capital during the first 11 months of the year reached 16.659 billion manats, up 3% compared with the same period of 2024.

Investment in the oil and gas sector fell by 8.5%, while non-oil and gas investment rose by 8.3%, reflecting a gradual diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy.
