Armenia says 26,295 tonnes of cargo transited via Azerbaijan since November

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee and Economy Ministry said 26,295 tonnes of goods from Russia and Kazakhstan were transported to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory between November 2025 and April 15, 2026, while 9,337 tonnes of fuel were supplied from Azerbaijan over the same period.

According to the Armenian side, the first rail transit shipment through Azerbaijan took place on Nov. 6, 2025. Imports from Russia and Kazakhstan included 24,865 tonnes of wheat, 1,362 tonnes of fertiliser and 68 tonnes of buckwheat.

Armenian authorities also said that 9,337 tonnes of Azerbaijani fuel were delivered to Armenia via Georgia between December 2025 and April 15, including 5,398 tonnes of diesel worth $4.3 million and 3,939 tonnes of gasoline worth $2.9 million.

In an official statement, Armenian officials said the figures showed that the results of regional cooperation and peace were already tangible and were creating new opportunities for economic development.
