EBRD investments in Azerbaijan reach 3.7 billion euros
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s total investments in Azerbaijan have reached 3.712 billion euros, local media reported, citing the bank’s data.
As of March 31, the EBRD’s portfolio in Azerbaijan stood at 898 million euros, up 21 million euros, or 2.3%, from the previous month.
The bank currently has 36 active projects in the country. Sustainable infrastructure accounts for about 90% of the portfolio, while industry, commerce and agribusiness make up 7% and financial institutions 3%.
The bank’s operating assets in Azerbaijan rose 3% to 716 million euros.
The EBRD has financed 202 projects in Azerbaijan, with 40% of its portfolio in the private sector.
