Azerbaijan retail trade turnover up 3.7% in January-April

Azerbaijan’s retail trade turnover rose 3.7% year-on-year in real terms in January-April 2026, the State Statistics Committee said.

Retail sales totalled 20.1 billion manats in the period.

Sales of food, beverages and tobacco products amounted to 11.2 billion manats, while non-food goods sales stood at 8.9 billion manats.

Food, beverage and tobacco sales rose 1.4%, while non-food goods sales increased 6.6%.

On average, each resident spent 489.5 manats a month in retail outlets, including 272 manats on food, beverages and tobacco products and 217.5 manats on non-food goods.
