Aliyev addresses Islamic Development Bank Group annual meeting in Baku

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed the opening ceremony of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku.

The event brought together government officials, representatives of international financial institutions, development organizations and private sector leaders from IsDB member states.

The annual meetings are being held under the theme “Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity” and focus on trade, investment, infrastructure, climate finance and sustainable development.

Azerbaijan is hosting the IsDB Group’s annual meetings for the second time, after previously hosting the event in 2010.
