Azerbaijan’s domestic public debt stood at 15.982 billion manat as of July 1, the Finance Ministry said.

Of the total, 7.235 billion manat was made up of outstanding government securities, while 8.747 billion manat represented government-guaranteed liabilities assumed by the government.

About 51.6% of government securities had maturities of up to five years, while 48.4% had maturities of five years or more.

The average maturity of outstanding government bonds was 3.86 years. The ministry said the figure had increased due to the placement of long-term government bonds on the domestic financial market during the first half of the year.
