Azerbaijan clears over 1,500 hectares of land from mines in one week

Between August 3 and August 9, operational units from the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) cleared 1,581 hectares of land from landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) across the country's liberated territories.

Demining teams discovered and neutralized 87 anti-personnel mines, 20 anti-tank mines, and 784 unexploded ordnances during the weekly operations.

Demining efforts continue systematically to ensure safe conditions for reconstruction projects and returning residents in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions.
