European natural gas prices top $730 per 1,000 cubic meters

Natural gas prices in Europe surged past $730 per 1,000 cubic meters at the close of trading on August 10.

September futures on the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF)—Europe's benchmark gas hub—settled at $734.4 per 1,000 cubic meters. This marks a 10.8% increase compared to the previous settlement price of $662.6.

Azerbaijan has been supplying natural gas to the European market via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) since December 31, 2020.
