Azerbaijan tobacco output surges 18.4% in Jan-July 2026

Industrial manufacturing of tobacco products in Azerbaijan expanded by 18.4% year-on-year in January–July 2026, while food production rose by 9.6%, according to data released by the State Statistical Committee.

Over the same seven-month period, beverage manufacturing recorded a marginal contraction of 0.1% compared to the prior year.

Key commodity breakdowns within the food and processing segments showed liquid vegetable oil output surging by 35.4%, alongside a 17.8% annual rise in cigarette manufacturing. Conversely, the spirits segment faced downward pressure, with combined output of whisky and brandy dropping by 36%.
