Azerbaijan facilitates transit of Russian wheat to Armenia
A new transit shipment of Russian wheat bound for Armenia has been dispatched through Azerbaijan's railway network, Vesti.az reported, citing APA.
The freight train, comprising 39 railcars carrying 2,725 tons of wheat, departed from Bilajari station heading toward the Boyuk Kasik border crossing.
The shipment brings total Russian grain transit to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory to more than 44,000 tons. Cumulative transit figures through the corridor also include approximately 9,000 tons of fertilizers, 1,136 tons of propane, 1,114 tons of coal, 133 tons of aluminum, and 67 tons of timber.
Additionally, Azerbaijan has directly exported around 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and roughly 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.
