Brent and Urals Crude Prices Hold Mixed on August 31 Amid Demand Cues

Crude oil benchmarks traded with a cautious bias on Monday, August 31, as market participants weighed macroeconomic signals against OPEC+ supply management and shifting global consumption forecasts.

November contracts for global benchmark Brent crude slipped 0.4% to $68.45 per barrel on London's ICE Futures Europe.

Concurrently, Russia's flagship Urals blend traded near $57.20 per barrel, reflecting prevailing market discounts to the North Sea benchmark. Energy analysts attribute the subdued price action to ongoing uncertainties surrounding US monetary policy, fluctuating refining margins, and macroeconomic headwinds across key consuming markets.
