Bank deposits in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan up nearly 42%

As of September 1, 2026, residents of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan held 46.5 million manats (over $27.3 million) in bank deposits.

 citing the State Statistical Committee of Nakhchivan, this is 41.8% more compared to September 1, 2025.

Of the deposits, 94.3% were in national currency and 5.7% in foreign currency. Deposits in national currency grew by 43.5% year-on-year (YoY), while deposits in foreign currency rose by 19.5% YoY.
