Azerbaijan offers condolences to Pakistan over mine accident

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry expressed condolences over a deadly coal mine accident in Pakistan’s Balochistan province that caused multiple deaths and injuries.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the tragic coal mine accident in Balochistan, Pakistan, which claimed many lives and caused injuries,” the ministry said in a post on X.

It extended its condolences to the families of those killed, as well as to the people and government of Pakistan, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

At least 34 miners were killed in a methane gas explosion at a coal mine near Quetta, according to Pakistani authorities.
