Azerbaijan has ranked 74th in the updated Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index (HVRI), with its citizens enjoying a visa-free regime with 69 countries, reported from the organization.

Last year Azerbaijan ranked 80th. Thus, Azerbaijan moved up 6 positions in the ranking.

As noted by Henley & Partners, passports of Singapore and Japan share the first place in the Index (192 visa-free destinations), Germany and South Korea share the second place with visa-free access to 190 countries.

The HVRI analyzes visa regulations in more than 200 countries and territories of the world and ranks them by the number of visa-free countries. The Henley Passport Index, updated annually, is considered the standard reference tool for citizens of the world and sovereign states when assessing passport strength in the global spectrum of mobility
