Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Division has tested a jet-powered version of its Shahed-161 reconnaissance drone, Tehran Times reported.

The Shahed-161 was first unveiled several years ago, but Iranian scientists and engineers have continued to refine the design and integrate new innovations.

During the IRGC Aerospace Force exhibition, the drone’s jet engine was successfully tested. The UAV reportedly has a range of 150 km, a flight endurance of two hours, and a maximum altitude of 8 km.
