Macron plans phone call with Putin in coming weeks

French President Emmanuel Macron said he plans to hold a telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming weeks.

“Work is currently under way to restore this contact, which will be organised in the next few weeks,” Macron said in an interview with France 2 on Tuesday.

The French president said he wants to resume dialogue with the Russian leader as soon as possible.
