Rain and wet snow forecast in Azerbaijan on January 13

Partly cloudy weather with mostly dry conditions is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula on January 13.

According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, cloud cover will increase in some areas overnight from January 12 to 13, with rain and wet snow possible in several suburban districts.

Fog is expected in some places at night and in the morning. A moderate north-westerly wind, occasionally strengthening, will prevail.

Air temperatures will range from 5–7°C at night to 7–11°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will fall from 759 to 756 mmHg, while relative humidity will be 80–90%.

In Azerbaijan’s regions, weather will be mostly dry, but from the second half of the day, starting from the northern and western areas, scattered rain is expected, with snow forecast in mountainous and foothill regions, locally heavy. Fog cannot be ruled out. A westerly wind will occasionally strengthen.

Temperatures in the regions will range from –1°C to +4°C at night and 8–13°C during the day, while in mountainous areas temperatures will be 0–4°C below zero at night and 2–7°C above zero during the day.
