Romanian president comments on potential unification with Moldova

Romanian President Nicușor Dan, addressing questions regarding a potential unification with Moldova, stated that the majority of Moldovan citizens currently favor EU integration. He reaffirmed that Bucharest fully supports the neighboring country’s European trajectory.

"This issue concerns the citizens of the Republic of Moldova exclusively; I represent Romania," Dan noted, emphasizing his respect for the will of the Moldovan people. He further clarified that Romania’s primary commitment is to assist Moldova in achieving its goal of European integration, as pursued by its citizens.
