NASA has finalized an agreement with Axiom Space to launch the fifth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission, designated as Ax-5, is scheduled to blast off no earlier than January 2027 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The agency stated that the specific launch date will depend on orbital traffic and other logistical factors. Under the agreement, the four-member crew will spend approximately two weeks aboard the orbiting laboratory.

Axiom Space is tasked with submitting four crew candidates to NASA for approval, after which the selected team will undergo specialized training for the mission.
