The administration of the president of Iran has released a list containing the names of those killed during the recent protests. The published document includes 2,986 names.

According to the statement, the list was made public by order of the president.

Authorities noted a discrepancy between the official death toll of 3,117 and the number of names included in the list. The difference of 131 cases was attributed to victims whose identities have not yet been established.

The presidential administration said the names of unidentified victims would be released later in a separate list.
