Talks between Iran and the United States on Tehran’s nuclear programme are scheduled for Friday at around 10:00 a.m. in Oman’s capital Muscat, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

Earlier, Axios reported, citing U.S. officials, that the meeting had been cancelled.

A source quoted by Iran’s Mehr later said Washington is seeking to broaden the agenda of the talks beyond the nuclear programme.
