Earlier, participation in the elections was announced by the ruling Civil Contract party, former president Robert Kocharyan, and former human rights ombudsman Arman Tatoyan, who leads the Wings of Unity initiative.

The race will also include the In Its Own Way movement, whose ideological leader is businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who has been under arrest since June 18, former Yerevan mayor Hayk Marutyan with the New Power party, and the Armenian National Congress, whose list will be led by vice chairman Levon Zurabyan.
