China refuses talks with the US and Russia on nuclear weapons

China has refused to participate in talks with the United States and Russia on the reduction of nuclear weapons, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a briefing.

“At the current stage, putting forward a demand for China to participate in trilateral talks is unfair, illogical, and impossible,” she said.

The Chinese diplomat noted that the nuclear capabilities of the parties are incomparable as a reason for taking this step.
