Payments to lawyers in Azerbaijan exceed 27.1 million manats

A total of 27.17 million manats was paid to lawyers in Azerbaijan in 2025 under contracts concluded with clients, the Bar Association said.


According to the statement, statistical data on legal practice for 2025 has been summarised. The analysis shows that 2,676 lawyers operate within 144 law offices under the Bar Association, while another 150 lawyers work individually.


During the reporting period, legal assistance on a paid basis (including consultations and preparation of procedural documents) was provided to 13,469 individuals and 1,770 legal entities, bringing the total number of clients to 15,239. In addition, 10,521 low-income individuals received free legal aid.


Over the year, a total of 84,894 contracts were signed, including with 71,038 individuals and 13,856 legal entities. Payments under these contracts amounted to 22.08 million manats from individuals and 5.09 million manats from legal entities.
Additionally, 5.99 million manats was paid to lawyers for legal aid provided at the expense of the state under enforced decisions.
