698 drug addiction patients receive treatment at three facilities

A total of 698 patients are receiving treatment for drug addiction in Azerbaijan across three facilities in January–March 2026, the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs said.

According to the data, 276 patients are being treated at the Republican Narcological Center, 297 at the AIDS Center, and 125 at the Sumgayit Narcological Center.

In the same period, the “802” hotline received 183 citizen appeals. Of these, 16 were related to illegal drug trafficking, 16 to addiction treatment, and 151 concerned other issues.
