Time names Trump, Pope Leo XIV among the most influential people of 2026

Time magazine has included U.S. President Donald Trump, Pope Leo XIV, actor Benicio Del Toro, digital creator MrBeast, actor-director Ben Stiller and figure skater Alysa Liu in its list of the 100 most influential people of 2026. The annual ranking is divided into six categories: Artists, Pioneers, Titans, Icons, Leaders and Innovators.

In the Leaders category, Time named Trump, Pope Leo XIV, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, California Governor Gavin Newsom, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, among others.

Among Artists, the magazine included Luke Combs, Dakota Johnson, Jonathan Groff, Benicio Del Toro and Rhea Seehorn. In Pioneers, it named astronaut Reid Wiseman, Disney executive Josh D’Amaro, chef Nancy Silverton and MrBeast.
