Passenger entry to all Baku metro stations was temporarily restricted after a fault in the high-voltage supply to the contact rail on the section between Ulduz and Nariman Narimanov stations, Baku Metro said.

Passengers were evacuated from trains and from Ulduz and Nariman Narimanov stations as a safety measure. Metro authorities said no threat to the lives of passengers or staff had been recorded.

Train services toward Ahmedli were disrupted while crews worked to restore power and clear the fault, according to the operator.
